To Clarify Some Misconception Related To The Act Of Praying Behind Wahabis Or Bud-Mazhabs.
In Today’s Time It Has Been Observed That Some Illiterate People Are
Propagating False Information Or Fatwas About This Act. They Say A Person Who
Prays Behind Wahabi, Himself Becomes A Wahabi Or His Wife Becomes Haraam To Him
Etc..
So We Will Answer This
Question In Light Of Quran & Sunnah, Anyone Who Accepts Quran, Sunnah And Hadith
Will Never Deny These Facts.
The Foremost Point That Needs To Be Noted Is That,
This Issue Is Categorized As Fru'i Masail Rather Than Of Creed (Aqeedah).
There Are
3 Types Of Rulings Given By Different Islamic Scholars Of Ahlus Sunnah Wal
Jamaat With Respect To This Subject.
1) The First Ruling Of Some
Of The Ahlus Sunnah Scholars Is, It Is Allowed To Pray Behind Wahabis, Deobandis
(Faasid-Ul-Aqeeda),S ome Of The Islamic Scholars Namely, Shaikh Habib Zayn Ibn Sumayt Ash-Sha’afi,
(Sufi Scholar From Madina) , Shaikh Muhammad Ba-Dhib Ash-Sha’afi (Yemen), Shaikh
G.F. Haddad (Hanafi)...Etc.
2) The Second Group Of
Scholars Ruling Is, It Is Allowed To Pray Behind Wahabis Untill A Corrupt Aqidah
Is Proven Of Specific Imam Writing, Speech, Or Confession, Till Then No Ruling
Can Be Applied, If It Is Discovered That The Imam Is Of Corrupt Aqidah, Even
Then, One Should Pray Behind Him And Repeat The Salaah Later Individually.
The Congregation
(Jamaat) Shouldn’t Be Shunned.

Hadith Number : 1
وروى أبو شِهَاب : ثنا يونس بن عُبَيْدِ ، عَن نَافِع ، قَالَ : كَانَ ابن عُمَر يسلم عَلَى الخشبية والخوارج وهم يقتتلون . فَقَالَ : من قَالَ : ( ( حي عَلَى الصلاة ) ) أجبته ، من قَالَ : ( ( حي عَلَى الفلاح ) ) أجبته ، ومن قَالَ : ( ( حي عَلَى قتل أخيك الْمُسْلِم وأخذ ماله ) ) ، قُلتُ : لا .
Translation:
Narrated By Abu Shihaab That Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radiallahu Anhu) Used To Convey Salaam To Khasbiya And Khariji's Even Though They Use To Fight Each Other, And He Used To Say Whoever Says “Hayya Alal Salaah” ( حي عَلَى الصلاة ), I Respond To It And Whoever Says “Hayya Alal Falaah” ( حي عَلَى الفلاح ),
I Respond To Them Also, But Whoever Calls Me Towards Murdering And Looting A Muslim Brother, I Don’t Respond To Them.
Narrated By Abu Shihaab That Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radiallahu Anhu) Used To Convey Salaam To Khasbiya And Khariji's Even Though They Use To Fight Each Other, And He Used To Say Whoever Says “Hayya Alal Salaah” ( حي عَلَى الصلاة ), I Respond To It And Whoever Says “Hayya Alal Falaah” ( حي عَلَى الفلاح ),
I Respond To Them Also, But Whoever Calls Me Towards Murdering And Looting A Muslim Brother, I Don’t Respond To Them.

Number : 2
عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ زَمَنَ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَالْخَوَارِجِ وَالْخَشَبِيَّةِ: أَتُصَلِّي مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ وَمَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ، وَبَعْضُهُمْ يَقْتُلُ بَعْضًا؟ قَالَ: ” مَنْ قَالَ: حَيَّ عَلَى الصَّلَاةِ أَجَبْتُهُ، وَمَنْ قَالَ: حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ أَجَبْتُهُ، وَمَنْ قَالَ: حَيَّ عَلَى قَتْلِ أَخِيكَ الْمُسْلِمِ وَأَخْذِ مَالِهِ قُلْتُ: لَا ”
Translation:
Narrated By Naafe That, Abdullah Ibn Umar Radiallahu Anh Radiallahu Anh Was Asked By Abdullah Ibn Zaid , During The Time Of Fight Between Khasbiya And Khariji, You Use To Offer Salaah(Prayer) With Them Even Though They Used To Kill Each Other , Then Abdullah Ibn Umar Radiallahu-Anh Replied Whoever Says “Hayya Alas- Salaah” ( حي عَلَى الصلاة ), I Respond To It And Whoever Says “Hayya Alal Falaah”

But He Prayed Behind Them. This Evidence Clearly Signifies That He Considered
His Prayer (Salaat) To Be Valid And His Wisdom Was To Unite The Ummah , Bring
Them To A Single Platform.

Hypocrite Who Is Muslim By Appearance Only And Not By Faith) Will Not Give Any
Loss To Him While The Prayer Of Munafiq (A Hypocrite Who Is Muslim By Appearance
Only And Not By Faith) Behind Momin Will Not Be Of Any Profit To Him.

In The Haram,
The Imam Is Of Hanbali School. Salah Behind Him Is Allowed. If It Is Discovered
That The Imam Is Of Corrupt Aqidah, Even Then, One Should Pray Behind Him And
Repeat The Salaah (Namaz) Later Individually. The Congregation Shouldn’t Be Shunned.
2) Are Two Witnesses
Required To Call The Imam As A Ghair Muqallid Or Wahabi Or Najdi Aqidah Or Do
We Just Accept Him As A Wahabi/Najdi Based On Popular Culture And A Strong
Guess?

Unless A
Corrupt & Deviant Aqidah Is Proven By Someone’s Writing, Speech, Or
Confession, No Ruling Can Be Applied On Him.
3) Some People Have
Said That Allama Imam Ibn-e-Abideen Shami Has Stated In Radd Al-Muhtar-Ala-Al-Dur Al-Mukhtar That
It Is Better To Pray Behind A Fasiq / Mubtadi Than To Pray Alone. Please Let Me
Know Whether Its Correct.

It Is Totally
Right As Has Been Explained In The First Part.
From The Above Hadiths And Fatawa's It Can Be Concluded That This
Issue Is Catergorised As Fru'i Rather Than Of Creed (Aqeeda).
Abdullah Ibn Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) Used To Convey Salaam And Offer Salaah With Even Those Deviant Sects
Who Used To Label Sahaba (Ridwaanullahi Alaihim Ajmaeen) As Mushriks (Astaghfirullah). If
Abdullah Ibn Umar Radiallahun-Anh Would Not Have Considered His Prayer To Be
Valid, Then He Would Have Not Prayed Behind These Kharijis, I.e.
He Considered Salat Between Him And Allah Ta’ala To Be Personal
Bond. Imam Hasan And Imam Hussain (Alaihissalam) Prayed Behind Marwan Who Was A
Fasiq / Munafiq Who In Actual Made The Plan To Kill Imam Hussain (Alahissalam).
Some Mischievous People Out Of Jealousy Have
Tried To Propagate And Distort The Position Of Sheikh-Ul-Islam
Dr. Muhmmad Tahir-Ul-Qadri By Making An Issue On This Subject.

(words of hadees) now what happened to your kharji hadees? are you going to accept any hadees that has sahih sanad ? dont you care about the Matan of hadees? this is the problem with you mihaji kharjis. tahir padri is a kafir.
